Introducing Automation in Testing Online

Automation in Testing is about giving people the skills on how strategise, create, use and educate others around how to successfully utilise automation to assist testing. We aim to offer this in many different ways and with that in mind, we’re proud to introduce Automation in Testing Online. Automation in Testing Online is a free open source application for you to learn and improve your automation skills and practice using new tools against.

More than just a web application

With automationintesting.online there are many opportunities to practise UI and API based automated checking. However, there is so much more to discover

• restful-booker-platform - RBP is the application that is deployed to automationintesting.online which offers many more tools to play with such as unit checking, mocking and stubbing. RBP can be run locally on your machine, giving you all the benefits of automationintesting.online locally plus more additional control over DB access and internals of each API.
• Deployment Pipeline - automationintesting.online is a continuously deployed product which means it has it’s own CI and deployment pipeline that leverages CircleCI, Docker and Kubernetes. The restful-booker-platform repository contains all the config code for the pipeline for you to view. You can even fork the repository and setup your own pipeline!
• Fully fledged project management - The application is continuously growing based on feedback and feature requests from our Automation in Testing course attendees and all of this tracked by a GitHub based project management workflow which you can use to request new features or raise bugs and issues!

We’re immensely proud of what we’ve created in this application and we hope that it helps give you a playground, example and the required tools to help you start or continue your journey into Automation in Testing.
